Eating Healthy and Raw Foods
Here is a little education I learned about Raw Nutrition.
A Raw food diet is based on eating whole, live, nutritionally-dense organic uncooked and un-processed foods as a large percentage of your diet. Raw and Living Foods are whole foods that contain enzymes, the act of heating food over 116 degrees F destroys the enzymes in food. (Enzymes will start to degrade in as little as 106 degrees F). Enzymes assist in the digestion absorption of foods. They are known to be the “Life-Force” and or “energy” of food. Cooking food changes the molecular structure of the food. Living and raw foods are cited to have enormously higher nutrient values than the foods that have been cooked.
When 75-100% of your total food consumption is raw food, you are considered a raw foodist. At that rate it is believed that your body’s own elimination system can eliminate all or most of the toxins in your body. When you eat more cooked food you are eating toxins faster than your body can get rid of them. Hmmm makes you wonder why it can be so hard sometime to get the weight off.
