How I Got Here – Over Weight And Unhealthy
Why is it that most people including myself, wake up one day and ask themselves the same question, How did I get here?
I want to kick myself in the ass for every time I have asked myself that same question. The worst part about the question is that you truly believe that what your asking yourself is a question that will pose an answer of surprise.
This didn’t happen all of a sudden or overnight. I didn’t wake up one day and poof I am fat. No it took years of overeating and making unhealthy food and lifestyle choices to get to 239lbs.
When I realized the simplistic nature of gaining weight and the time it took to get me at my highest point that’s when I realized there is no magic pill or quick weight loss program that will get the weight off. In order me for to change my life and eating habits it will take self education, time, and diligence to stay consistent with what I choose to eat.
The idea of dieting has been marketing so effectively that we all believe a diet is a short-term process to loose weight. A diet by definition is the sum of the food consumed by an organism or group. Therefore your diet is simply what you eat on a daily basis.
So throw the diet books out, stop trying to follow someone else’s program and learn how to eat healthy and make conscious decisions about what your eating on a daily basis. When it comes to being healthy the only way to achieve success is to self educate yourself and your loved ones about what foods are good for you and what foods can harm you.
At the end of the day all books come to an end, don’t let a diet book be your end to a healthy lifestyle, allow it to be an educational tool in which all the information may or may not be something of value.
