Eat Healthy and Move Your Body
I have learned the hard way that by just eating healthy you will not lose weight. If you want to lose weight you have to exercise, and I don’t mean once or twice a week. I know everyone hates the term exercise but don’t think of it as a chore or something you have to fit in.
You eat everyday don’t you? You shower and brush your teeth everyday? Well you need to move your body as well, everyday! Yes, I know we all work and some of us even have kids, but thats no excuse not to get your butt moving. I sit down all day at a computer and I am guilty for always complaining that I have no time to exercise. Well don’t think of it as exercise, just find time in your day to move your body.
Here are some examples of how you can MOVE YOUR BODY and not worry about fitting in an exercise routine.
Move During The Work Day
- Actually take your lunch at work and walk around outside.
- Get up and fax the papers yourself instead of having someone else do it for you.
- Park your car within a good walking distance to your place of work.
Move When You Get Home From Work
- Download your favorite music and jam out, dance, or just have fun by yourself after dinner for half hour. You will find this to be a great stress release.
- Find one of the thousands of old workout tapes you ordered in the past and never used and just have fun with it, don’t worry about making sure you follow it perfectly, just move your body. I love working out to Richard Simmons, Sweatin to the Oldies, you know you have it, use it and have fun with it.
Find Time To Walk
Walking is my best source of tension release. Wether you like to walk in the morning or evening, just find a way to fit it in. Trust me when you start walking wether its outside or on a treadmill you will want to walk more and eventually you may even find yourself wanting to run or jog a little. Walking releases so many great endorphins. I love to walk outside with my dogs and breath in the fresh air.
